DIY co-ord
15:44
Hi everyone!
My mum was clearing out our study the other day and came across two skirts that used to be my Aunts but for some reason I had cut a square of fabric out of each of them so they could no longer be worn as skirts. After seeing so many co-ords around this summer and never being able to afford one I thought I would make one myself using the material from the skirt. It was a pleated skirt so there was plenty of material to use after I had unpicked the waistband.
To make the shorts I drew round a pair of jeans to create the front and back pieces and then drew up a rough pattern for the panels on the sides. Then I just added some elastic in the waistband and voila! The top was a really simple triangle shape with a tie at the neck and on the sides.
I've decided to start selling these little co-ords on my depop, my username is 'juliaalicehandmade' and you can also buy the shorts/top separately.
Let me know what you think!
Love, Julia
